The WPCA contributed in several ways to the November 17 awards dinner run yearly by the Citizens Advisory Council to the 2nd District of the Metropolitan Police Department, which covers Woodley Park. WPCA stalwart Roger White was one of the honorees for his work on crime, and the WPCA donation allowed board member Nicole Field to attend the dinner with a guest, along with Woodley Park resident retired Police detective Nelson Morais and his wife. WPCA member Glenn Marcus is vice chair of the CAC, and was honored to hand the awards to the 14 officer honorees, who were announced in person by the wonderful NBC anchor Doreen Gentzler at Maggiano’s. Anyone wishing to ask any questions of the 2D police commander may attend a zoom meeting of the CAC, by writing to Glenn at gmarcusdc@gmail.com.
